Bokaro, 27th June 2025: As part of its steadfast commitment to community welfare, ESL Steel Ltd., in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society (Bokaro Chapter) and Citizens Foundation, organized a voluntary Blood Donation Camp at the Occupational Health Centre (OHC), 16 Khata, Bokaro today. This initiative was undertaken under the banner of “V for Society”, the Employee Volunteering Programme of Vedanta ESL’s CSR division.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from ESL employees, business partners, and local citizens, who came together to donate blood and contribute to a life-saving cause. The camp aimed at addressing the acute need for blood in hospitals while fostering a culture of compassion, volunteerism, and civic responsibility.
There was a total participation of 60 people, and the chief guest of the event was Mr. Kunal Daripa, Head CSR, ESL.
The camp was also graced by esteemed guests:

Speaking at the event, Mr. Kunal Daripa, Head CSR, said:

Dr. Praveen Pitta, Chief Medical Officer, ESL, also lauded the participants and volunteers, stating:

The Indian Red Cross Society, one of the country’s foremost humanitarian organizations, ensured the medical supervision and safe collection of blood. With over 1100 branches nationwide, the Red Cross continues to play a vital role in disaster relief, health support, and community resilience.
The Citizens Foundation, founded by Mr. Ganesh Reddy, co-hosted the event. With a presence across several Indian states including Jharkhand, Bihar, Assam, and Chhattisgarh, the Foundation has impacted over one million people through its interventions in health, natural resource management, and livelihood.
This blood donation camp marks yet another step in Vedanta ESL’s vision to “Transforming for Good”, by supporting meaningful initiatives that create lasting impact on people’s lives.
